The Movie of the Week podcast is back! In this installment, I review the 1981 sci-fi/action cult classic, Escape from New York. The movie is a fun action romp that really has an out-there plot: in 1997, the island of Manhattan is transformed into a walled, guard-free maximum security prison from which ex-CIA operative & current criminal Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) is tasked with rescuing the President of the USA. As I said, pretty ridiculous. The film is definitely an enjoyable watch, especially if you aren't looking for a confusing plot. Listen in for the full review & check out the trailer above. Cheers!

The Gibbons & Cote in the Evening All-Star Spectacular

Gibbons & Cote in the Evening is back! In this newest episode, we talk about a few important recent events in sports (marathon Aussie Open final, Prince to the Tigers) and go on some awesome tangents (which I won't spoil for you, faithful listeners). Our main topic of discussion is the All-Star Game concept, and how we think each league handles their version of the idea. We rank the four ASGs and try and find ways to improve each game, except for the Pro Bowl, which should be mercy-killed. Enjoy!
